The MDW15 series from MINMAX is the latest generation of isolated DC to DC power converters carefully designed to meet industrial application requirements. It has achieved significant breakthroughs in size by adopting the internationally recognized DIP-16 packaging, providing a complete 15W output power within a PCB space of only 0.5 square inches. Thanks to a substantial reduction in volume by 75%, the MDW15 series boasts an astonishing power density of 74W/in3, representing a growth of up to four times compared to previous series. This has quickly gained popularity in the industrial, transportation, and renewable energy equipment manufacturing sectors where space is limited. The series finds widespread applications in industrial fields such as LED displays, semiconductor processing equipment, motion controllers, intelligent inspection robots, GPS systems, and charging stations.
The MDW15 series features advanced circuit topology, enabling it to achieve up to 87% efficiency and outstanding instantaneous load capability. Regardless of changing external and internal conditions, the MDW15 maintains excellent overall efficiency, power loss, and thermal stability, with a no-load power consumption of less than 0.3W. The MDW15 series offers a wide input voltage range, including 9-18V, 18-36V, and 36-75V, and provides 18 models with voltages such as 5.1V, 12V, 15V, 24V, ±12V, ±15V, offering flexible options for customers. All models have obtained CB certification, EMI conduction Class A certification, and safety certification according to UL/cUL/IEC/EN 62368-1 standards.
The operational temperature range of the MDW15 series is extensive, spanning from -40°C to +85°C. If customers require superior heat dissipation performance, an optional heatsink is also available. Other features include undervoltage protection, overload protection, short circuit protection, low no-load power consumption, and no minimum load requirement, meeting the diverse design needs of customers.
